My Background

A member of Ecademy since 1999, I have been involved in web based businesses for nearly 10 years. The last 6 of which I have spent as Head of E-commerce building the Bennetts Retail Online Division from a minor part of the companies overall business, into a £Multimillion business in its own right.

After several successful years advising other companies on how to make their online business a success I was invited to join Bennetts. Where I proceeded to expand their online division from a small sideline into a critical component of their overall business strategy. Including the development, from scratch, of the highly successful online only brand Tribal UK.

I am now working as Head of Web Operations for the highly successful Adnams Brewery in Southwold, Suffolk. Adnams is not just about beer although it has around 80 pubs, it also owns 2 high quality hotels in Southwold. The Swan and The Crown offer excellent value for money in one of the most idyllic coastal villages in East Anglia. In addition to this there are 9 Cellar & Kitchen stores around the country offering a great selection of quality wines and kitchenware. And if you can't get to a store over 500 wines are available online on the Adnams Cellar & Kitchen site.

Over the coming months I will be looking to improve the Adnams Online presence for a better customer experience.

There is not a lot that I do that is not connected with the Internet in one way or another. My family are important to me and I spend as much time as possible with my wife and 3 girls.

Currently I am spending time studying Web Usability but outside of this I immerse myself in Chess, Books and Films with Screenwriting and Filmmaking filling any spare time I find myself with and the occasional game of Golf.
